Growing up in Bermuda, the hip-hop, reggae, R&B, and neo-soul music of Matthew Bento is infused with island flavour. His musical career began when he started writing in his teens. He took that raw skill and honed it at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Point Blank Music College in the UK.
